When Katherine Cecilia Owes was born on June 11, 1915, in Spokane, Washington, her father, Edward, was 22, and her mother, Anna, was 18. She married George Clarence Moore on June 14, 1933, in Vancouver, Washington. They had three children during their marriage. She died as a young mother on May 26, 1945, in Portland, Oregon, at the age of 29, and was buried there.
