Katherine (Kit) Arnold Oakley Frazer was an extraordinary woman with a unique breadth of life experience who whole-heartedly enjoyed life and cherished her friends. She died on May 20, 2022. Born in 1940 to Colonel Wilfred Arnold and Kathryn Bennett Arnold, she was predeceased by her first husband Lt. Colonel Eldon Oakley, and second husband Robert Frazer. She was tickled to share her special luck in being born on Leap Day, (keeping her young, as she often said), and in a year of the golden dragon. She lived and worked all over the globe - Japan, Germany, Korea, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Hawaii, Iran, Denmark, and Florida. Kit's professional life included stints at the U.S. State Department, Harris Corporation, and in banking. An avid volunteer always, she served as President of the John Knox Village Foundation, and was honored to have served as National President of Gold Star Wives, including working on legislation projects expanding benefits for military widows. In her most recent years, she loved the life and friends who embraced her at John Knox Village. A celebration for Kit will be held at a later date.
