Katherine "Kathy" Bunn Boykin, 69 of Sims passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 in Bailey Town Cemetery. Rev. Kelly Smart will officiate.
The family will receive friends Monday, November 14, 2022 from 7 - 9 p.m. at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Kathy retired from Wilson Community College after thirty-four years of service as a scheduling technician. She enjoyed working with every student enrolled at the college for many years. More than anything, Kathy loved her role as a mother and devoted her life to her daughters.
Kathy is survived by her mother, Jackie Mae Hurdle of Bailey; daughters, Miranda Rae Boykin, and Stephanie Gail Boykin both of Sims; sisters, Clarkey B. Galloway and Jacqueline Rae Godwin and husband, Thomas both of Garner, and many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Ray Bunn.
