Help us celebrate Kassie! Please share your stories and photos, and invite others who remember Kassie.
Our precious mom, Kassie Bobo, 85, of Marion, Arkansas passed away peacefully at her home on July 1, 2022. She was born June 7, 1937 in Crossville, Tennessee to the late Kelly and Laura Neal. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hughes, Arkansas.
Many people were drawn to her sweet spirit, kindness, biscuits and banana nut bread. She was a homemaker, mom, great- great grandmother, great grandmother, grandmother as well as a friend to everyone she met. She was a remarkable cook and enjoyed making biscuits, banana bread and cupcakes for her grandbabies who coined the term Kissy Nanny. Everyone who knew her or even met her saw the love of Jesus and His kindness shine through her. She loved to work in the church nursery and rock the babies.
She dedicated her life to being an amazing and devoted mother and wife. Her motherhood was the foundation of our family. She was our constant and unconditional support and our home was filled with warmth and love. She made it her mission to improve the lives of others; especially her husband and family. She loved everyone she met and was unafraid to express that love with hugs and kisses. She was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her family. Anyone who knew her family knew that she was a star in their eyes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Bobo, of 60 years; as well as her six sisters, one brother and one great grandson. She is survived by two children, Gary (Kim) Bobo of San Diego, California and Connie (Bert) Robinson of Marion, Arkansas; one sister, Vivah Tyson of Toone, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Kelly (Coline) Bobo, Victoria (Mike) D'Albero, Nikki (John) Burns, Cana (Billy) Able Emily (Cory) Scarbrough; 16 great- grandchildren, 11 great- great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to Elite Hospice and her wonderful caregivers, Jennifer, Carmen and Amelia.
