Karoline Virginia Saunders, age 32, of Durham, North Carolina passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023.
She was born April 29, 1991, in Charlotte to Amy Elizabeth and Charles Otis Saunders, Jr. Karoline was a beloved daughter, sister, niece and friend.
Karoline is survived by her parents; brother, Erickson Greene Saunders; grandfather, Charles Otis Saunders, Sr.; uncles, James Greene Saunders and Craig Richard Anderson; aunts, Virginia Anne Saunders and Julie Ann Anderson; cousins, Nathan Craig Anderson, Kelly Ann Anderson Bradley (married to Grant Michael Bradley), Louis Malcolm Saunders and Katherine Elizabeth Anne Saunders; and her adored cat, Pesto.
Born in Charlotte, Karoline graduated from Myers Park High in 2009 and North Carolina State University in 2013 in Aerospace Engineering. After college, she worked at Verizon in Cary and Ashburn Village, VA and E-Plus in Durham.
Karolina will be remembered as focused, funny, and fiercely loyal to friends and family. Her sense of humor and adventures will not be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church of Charlotte on November 10, 2023 at 1:00pm. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Services Clinic or SPCA of Wake County.
