Karen M. (Repoza) Costello, age 54, of Manchester, New Hampshire, passed away on Oct. 20, 2022, after battling breast cancer for over four years.
We will miss her smile, her laugh, style, and grace.
Karen was born on March 4, 1968, to Francis Richard Repoza II and Beverly Tatten in Marlboro, Mass. Karen spent her youth in Groton, Mass., later moving to Pepperell, where she graduated from North Middlesex Regional High School. She then went on to earn her legal secretary certificate from Nashua Community College.
Truly a rare breed, Karen was one of a kind, passionate and dedicated to her work, and she loved serving and working for the community. She worked for 15 years in the records department for the Merrimack, New Hampshire, Police Department. She then worked as a legal secretary for five years at the Hillsborough Court House North in Manchester, where she was a highly valued and respected member of the HCAO team.
In the summer of 1988, Karen met Tony Costello at an outing with friends on Plum Island. After a whirlwind romance, they were wed on April 1, 1989. Karen and Tony enjoyed 33 years together and had one daughter, Meghan A. Costello
Karen's faith was very important to her and helped give her courage and grace through the trying times of her illness. She was a lifelong faithful member of the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed attending meetings at the Goffstown, New Hampshire, Kingdom Hall.
Karen enjoyed traveling across both the U.S. and Europe, though her favorite destination was Ireland. She usually persuaded family and friends to join her, which wasn't hard as her adventurous spirit made her a fun travel companion.
Her love for family, friends, and faith showed in everything she did; and she did so with her trademark sprinkle of sarcasm and humor. Karen was an amazing, beautiful woman with a unique, bright spirit. Her ever-present smile and laughter were a gift to all of us who shared time with her. She was kind, warm, gracious, and fun. Her infectious laugh will be forever missed.
In addition to her husband Tony Costello and her daughter Meghan Costello, Karen is survived by her siblings: Kathy (Repoza) Jordan, Terry Repoza, Francis R. Repoza III, Andrew Repoza, Judith (Repoza) Murphy, and Joel Michaud; her sisters-in-law Beverly (Costello) Russ, and Angela (Costello) Grisafi; and her 15 nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to join us for memorial services on Dec. 3 at 4 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 97 Daniel Plummer Road, Goffstown, New Hampshire.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to The Solinsky Center at Elliott Hospital in Manchester (note Cancer Research) or the Payson Center in Concord for the Lend Me A Hand Fund.
