Sadly, Karen J. Koehler, 74, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 from ANCA Vasculitis, a rare autoimmune disease.
She was born in Dover, Ohio on June 14, 1946 to Sam and Meg (Ramsey) Cozart. Karen graduated from Strasburg Franklin High School Class of 1964. After a time out of state, she moved back to Strasburg and then to Akron. She retired from Mature Services Co. in Akron, Ohio. Karen loved to bake, read, practice Yoga and enjoy her grandchildren. She was a Cleveland Cavaliers fan and an animal lover.
Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 33 years, Mark Johnson of Akron, Ohio; son, Fred (Jean) Koehler of Kensington, Maryland; grandchildren, Abigail, Alexander and Anne; and sisters, Judy and Chris (Les) McGrath.
Due to the COVID pandemic there will be no calling hours or services. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at a later date. Donations can be made in her name to the Humane Society or St. Jude Children's Hospital. (Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, Akron)
