Kalyn Shaun Wehmeyer, 50, passed away unexpectedly July 30, 2022 in Fredericksburg, Texas. He was born in Fredericksburg, the son of Reinhard and Lillian Wehmeyer.
Kalyn graduated from Fredericksburg High School in 1990. Following graduation, he served in the U.S. Army and National Guard 22 years, including deployments to Germany, Saudi Arabia, Kosovo, Iraq, and Johnston Island. He married the love of his life, Olivia Cristina Limas, and they settled in Fredericksburg, TX. They celebrated 18 years of marriage in May.
Surviving in addition to his wife Olivia and his parents Reinhard and Lillian, are his children Kelaiah Faith, Erin Ofelia, Step-Son Dustin Jung, Dayna Avans & Husband Matthew of Mountain Home, and Rachel Silva & Husband Brandon of Kerrville; Six Grandchildren, Phoenix, Jade, Aurora, Felicity, Angelice, and Arianna; One brother, Gary Wehmeyer and his wife Judy of Fredericksburg, and one sister, Robin Johnson and her husband Trevor of New Braunfels.
Kalyn grew up with a love of building things and especially experiences that brought much joy to others including the annual 4th of July Fireworks show for Gillespie County. His laughter was contagious and absolute joy for life was shared every time you saw or were hugged by him. Kalyn loved & cherished his bride and his children were the absolute most important to him.
