Kairat Tishpayev Anderson was born 28 November 1995 is Pavlodar, Kazakhstan. Little is known about his life until age 7 when he and his brother Kirill, living in the Kachiry orphanage, were adopted by Mala and Kevin Anderson. He spent the rest of his childhood growing up in Rexburg Idaho, attending Madison schools and graduating from Madison High School. He was pursuing further education at BYU-Idaho at the time of his death.
As a youth, Kai was active in Boy Scouts of America and developed a love of the outdoors. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He had recently moved to Fairbanks, Alaska for summer employment and loved to share his experiences with friends and family, through photos, the natural wonders he discovered there.
Kai lived his life to serve others. He was a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in St. Louis Missouri and demonstrated love and compassion for the people he taught and served. He also worked in the local Journeys and HAZ facilities providing compassionate care for his clients. In his spare time, you would often find him volunteering his time to serve others or being a kind and patient helper for a friend in need.
Kai was sincerely loved and will be missed by his family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews. "Uncle Kai" was every child's favorite as he always took time to play games with the children. His kind and bright personality will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents Mala and Kevin of Rexburg, siblings: Sherman, Springfield, VA; Seth (Sherry), Murray, UT; Mallena (Doug Ricks), Yakima, WA; Daniel (Mallory), Beaumont, TX; Weston (Jessica), Grand Rapids, MI; Hyrum (Brescia), Elk Grove, CA; and Kirill, Springfield, VA.
