Justin W. Wakefield, 37 left this earth to walk among the angels on Monday, August 23, 2021.
Justin was born August 8, 1984 in Hanover, NH, to Walter H., and Marjorie A. (Wendling) Wakefield. He grew up in Pomfret, Vermont and attended Pomfret and Woodstock schools. He was a member of the Pomfret School chess team and played little league baseball, and football in his middle school years. Justin was a talented painter and mechanic and put his skills to use in a variety of jobs in the area: Gillingham's, Woodstock Ace Hardware, The Prince & The Pauper, Skunk Hollow Auto, Potter Painting and Nolato GW Plastics. His hard work and dedication was recognized multiple times as employee of the month at Nolato GW Plastics.
His many interests included boating, golf, gaming, cooking, horticulture, drawing, and auto mechanics. Justin had a passion for learning and sharing his knowledge. He enthusiastically enjoyed philosophical discussions on the meaning of life and our place in the universe. Justin was well known for his memorable smile, humor, and dedication to family and friends, often putting their needs before his own.
Justin is predeceased by his father, Walter Wakefield. He leaves behind his mother Marge Wakefield and her partner Kevin Rice, his sister Paige Lewis, several nephews and nieces, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, including his dear friend and brother Stefan Schenker.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021, 2 pm at Artistree in South Pomfret.
