Junetta O. Becorest, 88, of Davenport, Florida passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 28, 1933 in Memphis, Tennessee to Charles Raymond and Zeta Eoff Ogden. Junetta worked as a secretary for 15 years for the Wilmington Island Presbyterian Church in Savannah, Georgia, until her retirement and was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis, Tennessee. Junetta loved gardening, reading, praying, bible studies, playing solitaire, playing tennis and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed traveling to Ireland, Rome, and going on cruises with her family and friends. Junetta was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be remembered as a hardworking woman and she will be truly be missed by all. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Victor Becorest. Junetta leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Brad (Melissa) Becorest of Clermont, Florida; daughters, Susan (Tim) Bentsen of Atlanta, Georgia and Vicki Becorest of Davenport, Florida; brothers, George Wayne (Linda) Ogden and Stanley Raymond ( Carol) Ogden both of Memphis, Tennessee; sister, Coleen Russell of Memphis, Tennessee; grandchildren, Olivia, Matthew, Amy, Sarah, Claire, Taylor, Spencer and Samuel; great grandchildren, Amory, Wyatt, Eric, Elesa, Joe, Carmen, Archie and Addison; and her dog, Shiloh. Donations can be made to the Salvation Army.
