Julius J. Pennartz, 91, of Rhineland passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022 in Wichita Falls, TX. He was born May 23, 1931 in Windthorst, TX to Albert J. and Irene Pennartz. He married the love of his life Geneva Redder on November 16, 1957 in Rhineland.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus (Council 1766), 4th Degree Knights of Columbus (Windthorst) and a member of Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Alice Wilde, Virginia Redder, Dorothy Pennartz, brother Clarence Pennartz and brothers-in-law Leroy Wilde and Charles Redder. Julius is survived by his wife Geneva of Rhineland; sons, Wayne Pennartz , Gary Pennartz both of Rhineland, and Jerry Pennartz and wife Teresa of Harrold; daughters, Judy Malone and husband Matthew, Kathy Browning and husband Dwayne, Carol Haigood and husband Alec all of Wichita Falls; sisters, Ethel Pennartz of Decatur, Ruth Redder and husband Herman of Rhineland, Claudia Carnahan and husband Billy of Arlington and sister-in-law, Lillian Pennartz of Decatur; grandchildren, Bradley Pennartz, Anthony Pennartz and wife McKenna, Michael Malone, Jared Malone, Brandon Malone, Sara Malone, Jessica Malone, Chris McLain and wife Jessica and Jeremy McLain and wife Camille. Also, three great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Julius loved being outdoors, always driving around his farms checking on his crops and cattle. He was a devoted husband and father and his family was most important to him. He and Geneva would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on November 16th. He read his prayer book each morning and night and prayed for his family everyday. Julius enjoyed visiting with family and friends and talking about his family ancestry. When asked how he was doing, he would always say "older, meaner and better looking everyday". His best advice was "love as Christ loves".
Rosary will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 6:00 P.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 29, 2022 also at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home.
