Julie was a teacher for the San Isidro Independent School district for most of her 38-year career where she touched the hearts of so many of her students. In her retirement years, she continued her passion helping many former students majoring in education with their studies. Julie had an unwavering faith in God. She was an active member of the San Isidro Catholic Church where she was a reader, helped with fundraisers, and had baptismal instruction as her ministry. She was a member of the service organization, Alpha Omega Rho and loved to travel. Julie always told her children to move away -far away so she could experience new cities or states. She loved sports in general but was an avid supporter of volleyball and basketball events held at San Isidro ISD. She passed on her love of sewing, crafting, painting and woodworking to her children and grandchildren.
The funeral service and mass will be held at San Isidro Catholic Church, but will be private and relegated to immediate family only. A memorial service for friends will be scheduled at a later date.
