Julie W. Polson, 67, entered into rest August 24, 2021. Mrs. Polson was born in Warren, Arkansas. A former resident of Barnwell, SC, Mrs. Polson called Edisto Island her home for the past 18 years. She was an active member of Edisto Baptist Church and the choir. Mrs. Polson retired from Savannah River Site after 20 years and later retired from Enterprise Bank. She was a member of the Edisto Belles/Breast Health Advocacy Organization and she enjoyed fishing. Mrs. Polson was preceded in death by her parents, James Thomas Ward and Bonita Loggins Yerrick.
Survivors include her husband of 18 years, William "Bill" Polson; her son, Chuck (Catrina) Arbogast, Barnwell, SC; her daughter, Amy Davis, Barnwell, SC; three stepdaughters, Karen (Ronnie) Bunch, Summerville, SC; Tracy (Lennie) Sanford, Jackson, SC; and Emily (Peter) Stoffelen, Greenville, SC; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five step grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sherry (Bryan) Lloyd, Matoaca, VA; and Darlene (Johnny) Bish, Prince George, VA; four brothers, Gordon Ward, Preston Ward, Adam Ward and Mitchell Ward; a number of nieces and nephews.
A private service for the immediate family will be conducted Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock in Jackson Memorial Park, 710 North Hankinson Street, Jackson, SC, with Pastor T. Thad Smith officiating. A memorial service will be held at Edisto Baptist Church at a later date.
