Julian Nathaniel Taranow, born in New Hampshire on June 14, 1994, tragically passed away in Chicago on Thursday, December 31st 2020, at the age of 26.
Julian was one of the most compassionate, inquisitive, and loving individuals on this earth. He made friends wherever he went and leaves behind his beloved family and family friends along with close friends and colleagues in New Hampshire, Boulder, Denver, and Chicago.
Julian graduated from Hopkinton High School in 2012, after which he earned a BS in Molecular Cellular Developmental Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience at the University of Colorado in Boulder. Julian was employed as Chief Innovation Officer (though he preferred his unofficial title of 'Mad Scientist') at Liftmode in Chicago, where he followed his passions as he pursued innovative ways to improve the health and wellbeing of others.
Julian loved New England's fall foliage, mountain biking, skiing fresh powder, music festivals, kitchen chemistry, and camping adventures with friends in the sand dunes of Colorado.
Julian was a loving son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, and friend to all. He is survived by his parents, Mitchell and Arlene, his brother, Joshua, all of New Hampshire, his Grandma Phyllis of Boca Raton, Florida, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and loyal friends worldwide. He was predeceased by his Grandpa Howie, Grandpa Lew, Grandma Judy, and Great Aunt Sarah. He adored them, and they adored him.
