Funeral Services for Mr. Julian Keith Farmer, 78, who entered into rest May 14, 2021, will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Lakeside Baptist Church. Pastor Tad Marshall, Pastor John George and Pastor Greg Doebler officiating. Interment to follow in Sunset Memory Gardens with Pastor Tim Goodwin officiating. For those are unable to attend, the service will be live streamed on the Posey Funeral Directors Facebook page.
Mr. Farmer was a life-long resident of Aiken County and graduated from LBC High School and attended USC in Aiken. He was retired from Olin Corporation with 40 years of service and was a member of the South Carolina Army National Guard. A former member and deacon of Pine Forest Baptist Church, Mr. Farmer was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church where he was a member of the church choir, chorale, quartet and was a Sunday School Teacher of the Joy Class. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping, golfing, ministry and especially grandchildren and family.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Sybil Kinard Doebler Farmer; three children, Philip G. (Dottie) Farmer, North Richland Hills, TX, Rhonda F. (Tracey) Johnson, Canton, GA, and Dynette Farmer, Warrenville, SC; two stepchildren, Pastor James Greg (Shelley) Doebler, Jonesborough, TN, and Pastor Keven Mark (Lesley) Doebler, Addison, IL; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia F. (Larry) Whittle, Warrenville, SC; and a nephew, John Stacey Whittle.
Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Joy Class.
Pallbearers will be Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the church from 12 noon until the hour of the service.
