Julia Voncile Stone

Julia Voncile Stone, age 97, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday January 11, 2026.

Born at home in rural southern Alabama, Voncile (as most knew her) was the third oldest of seven children. Her only remaining siblings are Kenneth Harrison and Shirley Sanders, the two youngest. Voncile met her husband Lennon through a coworker at the shirt factory she worked at in Enterprise, Alabama and they married January 19, 1955.

They were blessed with one child, Sandra, late in life. Voncile loved being a housewife and mother. For years she and Lennon tended a garden, which she finally gave up a few years after Lennon's passing, admitting he was the better farmer.

Voncile is survived by her only daughter Sandra Klementich and son-in-law Frank, her two siblings, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Emken Linton at noon January 19, 2025 followed by the celebration of life at 1:00 pm. Graveside at Forest Park East follows at 2:30 pm.
