Julia Anne, (Julie Vogel) Petroutson, a resident of Peachtree City, Georgia, for over thirty years, graduated to Heaven April 7, 2022, after an extended illness with lung cancer. Julie was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on February 11, 1951, living on Lookout Mountain, Georgia, during her formative years. Julie graduated Girls Preparatory School in 1969 and went on to acquire her Associates Degree from Massey Junior College in Atlanta, Georgia, majoring in Cosmetology. After graduation, Julie became a flight attendant for 3 1/2 years with Delta Airlines. Afterwards, Julie changed her career path to retail sales, retiring with 22 years in the Belk Department Store's cosmetic department. Julie never met a stranger and she had many loyal and satisfied customers. She loved her customers and they loved her. She often prayed with friends and would cite Psalm 91:1-8, as a prayer of protection for them. And in her quiet time with the Lord, she prayed the same over her family, friends, and country. She was a devout, lovely Christian lady who prayed to the Lord on a daily basis. She enjoyed praise and worship and spent time every day in praise to Him. Julie is survived by her husband, Peter Blane Petroutson; son, Rodney Lewis and his wife, Michelle; her mother, Virginia J. Gilman; sister, Elizabeth "Betsy" Gilman and husband Tom Fink; stepsons, Robert and Bradley Petroutson; and brother-in-law, David Harris. Julie was predeceased by her father, Henry B. Gilman; and her sister, Virginia (Ginnie) Harris.
