Julia Huber, born July 3, 1936 to Paul Watt and Enid Virginia Lawrence McMillen passed away November 24, 2021. Double promoted and Salutatorian at Barberton public school she was active in the Presbyterian Church. At Wooster, she studied speech and English and was active in drama and singing. A purchasing agent, she continued her drama work and taught English Composition at Akron U. Married Joe Huber October 17, 1964 and had two sons whom she taught to read early. Their sons did very well and married Cornell classmates. The elder, Joseph McMillen married Megan Kelly and have Benjamin and Rhea; and the younger, John Jefferson, married Janine Blanchard and have James, Brian and Jack (John Henry). Active in several civic organizations and a member of Akron Woman's City Club she was extremely active in Northminster Presbyterian Church and PEO (Chapter CS). She was CEO of a corporation to support Lockheed Martin her husband and she formed and retired from being Sunday School Superintendent at 84. In the 1980's the family traveled to Europe for a month and lived on Crete for three months. In 1999 Julia and Joe spent a month driving 4,000 miles exploring Great Britain. She loved decorating their home for each season and holiday, especially Christmas, and was a great needleworker and cook. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021, from 4pm to 7pm at the Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front Street Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Funeral services will be held on December 18, 2021, at Northminster Presbyterian Church at 2pm.
