Judith Lynne Johnson Clark, who was born September 4, 1940, passed away on January 17, 2021. Her remarkable life was one of dedication, love, sacrifice, and accomplishment. She married her husband, Glenn "Danny" Clark, who preceded her in death, with a conjoined determination to acquire the American dream. While her husband worked, she took a road most women of the time did not. She attended college, intent on becoming a teacher. She pursued her dream by attending school at night while her husband worked two jobs to enable her. She doggedly pursued that dream even after the births of her two children. Her studious dedication produced a bachelor's degree and a Masters degree in Education, with Honors. Her love produced two loving, lucky children. All the while, she prepared family meals, and resolutely administered household duties. As a teacher, she demanded the best and gave her all in producing the best. Most nights and evenings were spent grading and planning, far into the night, every night. She taught for over 30 years, never ebbing in her desire and commitment. She loved her work and her school, Central Elementary in Duncanville, and in return, her school and students loved her. Retirement was a practical choice, not a heart-felt one. Therefore she lived out her purpose by continuing to teach her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever the opportunity arose. She read voraciously. She loved her family and made herself available to everyone in it. She treasured her brothers and sister, and spoke glowingly and lovingly about each of them. She loved her husband with all her heart, and felt the pain of his passing every day afterward. She leaves behind to mourn, her son, Kerry Clark, her daughter Carol and her son-in-law Brian Jones as well as her grandchildren, Sean, Alexander, Elizabeth, and Emily. She also leaves behind her brother, David, and her sister Joyce, as well as six great-grandchildren She was the pinnacle of purpose and loving professionalism. The loss of her in our lives is devastating. All of the love we have for her has no place to go. Visitation (open to the public) will be 5 - 7 pm, Friday January 22, 2021 at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville.
