Judy Ann Ross Luna, age 81 of Boise, Idaho, died Friday, January 28, 2022 at her home surrounded by loved ones. Born July 25, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois, she was the youngest of three children born to Thomas and Aneita Ross. Judy was raised in Fontana, California. In 1957, she married her childhood sweetheart, Pete Luna, with whom she had seven children. Pete and Judy were the epitome of a devoted couple and loving parents. They raised their family in California, Nevada, and Oregon before ultimately settling in Idaho after their children had grown.
Judy worked for many years as a school aide, but excelled professionally when she became a licensed realtor. After just a few years of hard work, she became Oregon's Realtor of the Year in 1993. However, Judy's most loved role was as a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all she knew. She was known for her love of Mickey Mouse, hosting Mama Luna's taco dinners, and her volunteerism in politics. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family where she was lovingly called Grandma Mickey.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband Pete Luna, parents Tom and Aneita Ross, and her brother Tom Ross. She is survived by her children including Annette (Tom) Quesenberry, Tom (Cindy) Luna, Robert (Wanda) Luna, Peter (Lisa) Luna, James Luna, Teresa Luna, Mitchell Luna, and her sister Kay Huskey, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Judy is also survived by the pride and joy of her life, her grandkids including 42 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, with two more great-grandchildren and her first great-great grandchild on the way.
