Judy Ann Landrum-Akins, 64, of DeSoto passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022. She was born May 4, 1957 In Augusta, Arkansas to Abraham Lonzo and Mossie Lee (Doss) Landrum. She became a christian at an early age when she joined New Salem Missionary Baptist in Augusta, Arkansas.
Survivors include her spouse, Jerry Akins of DeSoto; 3 daughters, Erica Burdette and grandson Ridge McKinlee Burdette-Morgan of Cedar Hill, Terra Burdette of Glenn Heights, and Nisa Akins of Greensboro, NC; son, Jerry Akins Jr. of Chanute, KS; grandchildren, Cameron, Corey, Dallas, Breeonya, Juliana, and Lyric Akins; 3 brothers and 2 sisters, Alex (Francine) Landrum of Chicago, IL, Dorothy Louise Chambers of Cedar Hill, Veotis (Evelyn) Landrum of Shreveport, LA, LaVern Landrum of Duncanville, and William Landrum of Shreveport, LA as well as a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville at 2:30 pm on Saturday, February 19. 2022
The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love, concern and kindness shown to Judy during her lifetime and our time of bereavement. May God Bless and Keep You!
