Judith Ann "Suki" Tokiko Tsukamoto died peacefully in one of her favorite retreats in Drake, Colorado on April 10, 2021. She was born July 23, 1948 in Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii to Andrew and Mitsuko (Okinaka) Tsukamoto and raised in Koloa, Hawaii, graduating from Kauai High School, she attended Fort Wayne Bible College in Indiana, transplanting to Greeley for the last 50 plus years.
Suki worked for Weld County for more than 27 years, retiring after two terms as the Weld County Clerk and Recorder.
Suki loved to garden, nurturing and raising flowers and vegetables. She also turned her photography passion and love of stationary into beautiful cards. Her needlepoint pieces were works of art and these master pieces are proudly displayed on the walls of family and friends. Hospitality to Suki was found in food, sharing delectable baking and treats with many.
Suki played softball, fished in the Rocky Mountains, and was a bowler. She served as secretary of the Greeley Women's Bowling Association and also served as a board member for many years. She enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos and following LeBron James on the various teams he played with.
Survivors include her sister, Fran (Sam) Funakoshi; her two brothers, Allen and Keith (Thelma) Tsukamoto; nieces, Lynelle (Dave Detrick) Funakoshi and their daughters Summer and Jasmine Detrick, Lynn Tsukamoto, Jolynn Tsukamoto and son Stanley and Lynsay (Isiah) Deguchi and son Goten.
Due to the Covid pandemic, private services were held at Adamson Life Celebration Home. Cremation with burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorial gifts may be made to a charity of choice in care of Adamson, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634. Friends may leave condolences at AdamsonCares.com.
