Judith Parker Schneebeck passed away on December 29, 2020, her birthday. She was surrounded by her husband, two daughters and grand dogs laying by her side.
She was born in Illinois to parents Betty Block Parker and William Arthur Parker. She leaves her beloved husband of thirty years, William Schneebeck. She is survived by her wonderful daughters, Jennifer Haze Velde and Kimberly Velde Monroy and two beloved granddaughters, Lindsey Kate Monroy and Serena Lynn Monroy and four step daughters, Lisa Hewett (Jim), Kathy Ottenjohn (David), Anne Schneebeck and Lynne Schneebeck. She also has five step grand children and two step great grand children.
She attended the Emma Willard School for three years and graduated from Northwestern University. She worked for A.C. Allyn, an investment firm in Chicago for two years. Then she moved to New York City for four years where she attended N.Y.U. Business School and did some modeling.
In 1970 she moved with her family to John's Island where tennis and travel became her passion. She inherited her love of travel from her parents and grandparents who were world travelers. She and her husband took many trips around the world. Safaris were her favorite. She especially enjoyed taking her daughters and granddaughters on trips to wonderful places as an excuse to spend time with them.
In 1990 she became involved with Riverside Theatre which gave her tremendous joy. She was head of The Friends Committee, Development Committee and on the Board of Trustees for many years. A special pride was being awarded Riverside's Distinguished Service Award. She also served on the Board of the Vero Beach Museum of Art for two terms and The Cultural Council Board. She enjoyed taking students from GYAC to Riverside Saturday matinees.
Contributions may be made to Riverside Theatre, Vero Beach Museum of Art or Trinity Episcopal Church.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.
