Mrs. Judith Ann "Judy" Milby Flanders, Indianapolis, passed away on the evening of Thursday, March 11, 2021. She was 79. Judy was born October 19, 1941 in Gabe, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Archie Moss and Sybil Cynthia (McCubbin) Milby.
Judy attended LaRue County High School in Hodgenville, Kentucky and was a member of the graduating Class of 1960. She then attended Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green. Judy was the Assistant Director of Beech Tree House Center for Child Development serving for 27 years before retiring in 2005. She was also a member of the Life Point Community Church in Indianapolis.
Judy deeply loved her family and doting over her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She cherished the time she could be with them. Family was important to Judy and she immensely enjoyed the family vacations they took to Florida every year for 38 years.
Judy is survived by her husband of 60 years, James L. Flanders; her daughters, Cindy (Tim) Fleck and Beth (Ross) Wolfe; her grandchildren, Jonathan (Sadie) Fleck, Diana (Jim) Lesko, Katie (Nick) Meguschar and Molly (Aaron) White; her great-grandchildren, Logan Lesko and Archie Meguschar; her sister, Patricia (Carl) Heninger as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in passing by her parents.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Magnolia Cemetery, Magnolia, Kentucky with her nephew Kelly Flanders officiating. Burial will immediately follow.
