Judith K. "Judy" Hak, 74, Vienna, WV, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at the Camden Clark Medical Center. She lived a life dedicated to others. She loved people and was interested in everyone and their stories. She was a tireless volunteer for her community and was always there when someone needed a hand. She was loved and adored her grandsons and loved watching all of their sporting events and various activities. She loved spending her winters at the beach with her "Snow Bird" friends. Judy was born on February 27, 1947 in Clarksburg, West Virginia, to Edwin and Marie Armstrong Teitrick. She graduated from Shinnston High School and Fairmont State College. Judy received her masters from West Virginia University. After graduation, she began a life-long association with Camp Thomas E. Light foot in Hinton, West Virginia, a summer camp established for the children of coal miners by the Eastern Associated Coal Company. She started her teaching career at the Park School in St. Mary's, WV, then moved on to the Pleasants County Middle School, and later moved to the Belmont Elementary School. She was a reading specialist and a Title One instructor. Judy loved teaching and even after retirement was still substituting at various schools in the area. Judy is survived by her two children, Josh Hak and Courtney Colyer; three grandchildren, Brett and Jackson Colyer, and Mason Hak; sister in law Margaret Zirkle; and one nephew, Brad Bowling. In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, David M. Hak; sister Barbara Bowling; nephew Ben Bowling; and daughter in law Cynthia Hak. Family will receive friends at St. Marys United Methodist Church, 104 Washington Street, St. Marys, Wv 26170, Saturday, October 23, 2021 form 2 until 7 pm.
