Judith Ann Demary Garzone Sabino, 78 of Pittsfield, passed away April 23, 2023 at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on October 21, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Leola Ladouceur Demary.
She was educated in Pittsfield schools. Judy was the owner and operator of Punch and Judy Day Care for over 28 years. She also had previously been employed by General Electric for 21 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family playing cards. Judy's house was a place to go for all the picnics and birthdays. She just loved to have her family around. Another favorite thing was going to the casino.
Judy married Raymond P. Sabino June 11, 2000. He predeceased her in 2008.
She is survived by her daughter, Tina M. Garzone with whom she lived. Sons, Stephen M. Garzone of Pittsfield. Jeffrey R. Garzone and wife Denise of Sarasota, FL, and Vincent W. Garzone of Ellington, FL. Seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Her four step-children, Jennifer, Susan, Christine and Raymond Sabino. Her siblings, Gerald Demary and wife Kimberly of Dalton, Joan Gillett and husband Richard of Waterford, NY and Patricia Nunes and husband William of Pittsfield. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Jane Mazza, Marilyn DeAngelis and Betty Demary.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours will be held Friday, May 5, 2023 from 4 to 6 pm at Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield. A memorial service will follow at 6 pm, celebrated by Rev. Peter A. Gregory.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Christian Center Food Bank in care of the funeral home.
