Judith Anne (Haley) Elkins lost her long battle with dementia on February 8th, 2022, with her daughter Kathy by her side. She was born on August 12, 1934, in Bath, Maine to the late Payson Haley and Emma Haskell Haley.
She was a graduate of Saugus High School Class of 1952. She met her future husband, William, on a blind date and they were married on Sept 5, 1954, they shared 33 years together until his death in 1988. She raised her children in Saugus and had a few odd jobs over the years, eventually retiring from Avnet, Inc., Peabody, MA. She lived in Florida for several years enjoying the sunshine, trips with the Happy Wanderers, and visits from her family.
Judy was a loving sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.
She was a talented seamstress, knitter, and movie critic. Throughout her life, she enjoyed camping, playing cards, Tuesday night volleyball, skiing, and reading romance novels. She was an especially faithful lifelong Red Sox Fan. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her family. We will always carry her memory in our hearts
Judith was predeceased by her parents, infant son Steven Michael, her husband William Fremont Elkins, step mother Olga Haley, and her sister Janet Esch.
She is survived by her children; son Ralph, his partner Ann, Bailey Island, ME, daughter Kathy, her husband and Judy's favorite son-in-law, Roy, Pepperell, MA, son Michael, wherever he may be, daughter Kelly, her husband Jud, Milford, NH, daughter Kristin and her husband, Dave, New London, NH, her siblings; Robert Haley, Jeanne Haley, Joan Burke, Marcia Benedetto, Penny McKenzie-Venuto and John Haley; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
SERVICES: Calling hours will take place at the Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St Nashua, NH from 1-3 pm on Sunday, February 13, 2022. Burial services will be held at a later date.
