Judi Lindahl, 79, of Dubuque, died Friday, January 31, 2025, at her home in Dubuque.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Crematory.
The Mass of Christian Burial for Judi will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Church of the Resurrection with Father David Ambrosy as the Celebrant. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Winona, MN at a later date.
Judi was born on August 14, 1945, in Winona, MN, the daughter of Jerome and Gertrude (Klonowski) Rozek.
Judi attended Cotter High School in Winona, MN, graduating in 1963. She then attended Winona Secretarial School. Judi married Dennis W. Houselog on October 28, 1967 in Winona, MN. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1989. She later married Robert Lindahl on August 7, 1993 in Dubuque. He preceded her in death on April 29, 1998.
In addition to being a wonderful mother and grandmother, she took great pride in her work life as well. Judi first worked at a vo-tech school in Winona, as well as, a law office. She then worked at the University of Minnesota Dental School and Sr. Kenny Rehab Institute in Minneapolis before her marriage to Dennis. After their marriage, she helped him at the different Randall Stores he managed, whether it was in the office or running the bakery and decorating cakes. Then after moving to Dubuque she worked in a dental office. After Denny's death she worked at Clarke College. After she met her second husband, Bob, she relocated to Pewaukee, WI in 1993. This is when she began working as the Administrative Assistant to the Head of The School at Brookfield Academy in Brookfield, WI. Retiring in 2007, Judi then moved back to Dubuque to be closer to her children and grandchildren.
Judi loved hosting gatherings with family and friends, her home was always immaculate and welcoming. She had wonderful creative writing skills, was a creator of games, and was an avid reader. Judi loved sharing her wisdom and always gave the best advice. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over 50 years.
Survivors include her two children, Dave (Bobbi) Houselog of Tiffin, IA, and Karen (Brian) Behnke of Dubuque; four grandchildren, Madeline Behnke of Dubuque, Michael Behnke of Iowa City, IA, Chloe Houselog of Tiffin, IA, and Chase Houselog of Tiffin, IA; four sisters, Joanne (Robert) Shibilski of Mankato, MN, Rita (Richard Manley) Rozek of Minneapolis, MN, Marlene Evenson of La Crosse, WI, and Kathy (Bruce) Koehler of Winona, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
Judi was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; and two brothers-in-law, Dick Evenson and Richard Houselog.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Hospice of Dubuque, Dr. Hermann and his staff, and Dr. Konz and her staff for all of their compassionate care.
