Juana "Mam? Juanita" De La Hoya

Juana "Mam? Juanita" De La Hoya, 83, of Marble Falls, returned home to the Father on Friday May 6th. She was born on August 24th, 1938, in Durango, Mexico to Trinidad Sol?rzano and Natividad Montenegro.
Mam? Juanita married the love of her life Francisco De La Hoya on March 4, 1954, in Francisco I. Madero, Durango, Mexico. She enjoyed cooking for her family, tending to her plants, watching football and soccer games. Her favorite teams were Texas Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys, Club America and the Mexican National soccer teams. In her later years she would spend her evenings sitting in her favorite chair out on the patio visiting and joking with any of her children or grandchildren that happened to stop by to say "hello" and see what she had made for dinner.
Mam? Juanita is survived by her eleven children: Irma (Jacobo) Arreguin, H?ctor (Julia?) De La Hoya, Miguel ?ngel (Mayela) De La Hoya, Ismael (Susy) De La Hoya, Francisco (Dotti) De La Hoya, Socorro (Alfonso) Silva, Carmelita (Jes?s) Silva, Ferm?n (Gaby) De La Hoya, Hermilo De La Hoya, Yolanda (Alfredo) Mata, Jos? M. (Alma) De La Hoya. Her siblings: Francisco Solorzano, Juan M. Solorzano, Laura Casta?eda, Eloy Solorzano. Thirty-seven grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews and close friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Francisco De La Hoya and her brother Jeronimo Solorzano.
A rosary for her soul will be prayed Wednesday May 11th at 7:00pm at Clements- Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls. A funeral mass will take place Thursday May 12th at 10:00am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Marble Falls. Officiating will be Fr. Tom Chamberlain; internment will follow at Tobey Cemetery in Marble Falls.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls.
