Berndt-Ledesma
Joyce E. Towne, of Rhinelander passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the age of 86 years. She was born May 24, 1935 in Rice Lake, WI., the daughter of Harold and Alice (nee Gillen) Sweet. Joyce married Wallace "Wally" E. Towne, August 30, 1952, in Rhinelander, WI. Joyce and Wally farmed and managed the property for Frito Lay Farms. They grew potatoes for over 30 years in Sugar Camp Wisconsin. Joyce and Wally lived in the Rhinelander area all their lives. After Wally passed away, Susie moved Joyce to her home in Hustisford to care for her.
Joyce is survived by her children; Michael (Jeanie) Towne, Rick (Dawn) Towne, Dawn (Robert) Lavender, and Susan (Scott) Smits. Also, surviving are 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends
Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Wallace and her three brothers.
Graveside Service is Saturday, July 3rd, at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Home Cemetery in Rhinelander. A Luncheon will follow at the home of Bob and Dawn Lavender's home, 3093 Fire Lane Rd., at 1:00 p.m.
The Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home-Hustisford, is serving the family.
