Joyce Foglietta Sulfaro passed peacefully on Monday, July 11, 2022 at the age of 90. She was born on September 10, 1931 in East St. Louis, Illinois to her parents Grace Steinberg Ciaccio and Morris Steinberg.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Steve Ciaccio; sister, Rose Baldi, loving husbands, Richard Foglietta and Joseph Sulfaro; as well as son, Richard Foglietta.
Joyce lived in many places throughout her childhood. During her high school years and early marriage, she lived in Brooklyn, New York. She went on to raise her daughter and two sons in Highland, New York. Joyce relocated to Naples Florida, where she spent the last thirty years.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail Minard and husband Richard of Naples, Florida; son, Thomas Foglietta and wife Joy of Bloomington, Illinois; eight grandchildren that she loved dearly; as well as eleven great grandchildren that she enjoyed bragging about.
In her spare time Joyce loved to participate in many games; skilled card games, bingo and her favorite game of marbles which she played regularly with family and friends. She loved shopping, especially looking around for unique items to give to her family and friends when they came to visit and they always left with one of her gifts.
Joyce was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Highland, New York and became a member of Lely Presbyterian Church when she relocated to Naples, Florida.
A memorial service in Joyce's honor will be held 11:00am on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Lely Presbyterian Church in Naples, FL; 110 St. Andrews Blvd, Naples, FL 34113 with a reception to follow.
