Joyce Adel Korn, 76, of Main Street, died peacefully on May 17, 2021 at Exeter Hospital.
Born June 11, 1944 in Dublin, NH, she was raised by the most wonderful foster parents Jerry & Marge Janda. She also had two very influential people in her life Mr. William Bridgham the Police Chief of Keene and his wife Adel. While growing up she attended the Malborough School system.
After high school she worked at Keene Co-Operative & National Bank where she met George. Later her career became transporting students with special needs, originally at Seacoast Learning Collaborative as a driver, dispatcher, and supervisor. After a bit of convincing George and Joyce started Safeway Training & Transportation. She served as President of Safeway Transportation for 28 years.
The part of life Joyce loved the most was being a mom, grandmother, and great grandmother. She always said she would have had a football team! There was nothing she loved more than her family and her animals. Her favorite times were traveling cross country with the camper, trips to Ocean East, Disney World, eating at her son's restaurant Ricks Food & Spirits, camping at Partridge Hollow, vacations at the beach, and who could forget Christmas!
Our matriarch of the family is also remembered as the "Strongest woman we know". She did everything on her terms. She was extremely loving, devoted, inspirational, stubborn, and kind person. No matter what was going on she was always "fine".
She will be missed by so many but most of all her husband George Korn of Kingston. Son Frederick & Lisa Korn and their children Crystal & Christian of Kingston. Son William & Patty Korn and their children Antonyea & Holly Pike & great grandson Ryan Worcester of Raymond. Daughter Doris Nichols & Joseph and their children Marissa & Megan of Fremont.
Her brother Hale & wife Valerie, and brother Eugene & wife Terry and many nieces and nephews. One of her best friends Peter Macon wife Sarah & his family.
A walk through will be held on Monday, May 24th from 6 - 8 p.m. at Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home & Crematory, 77 Exeter Road, Newmarket.
