Joyce E Harmon

Joyce E. (Tash) Harmon of Crothersville, Indiana, passed away on July 17, 2025, at Hoosier Health & Living in Brownstown, Indiana. She was born July 6, 1931, in Scottsburg, Indiana, to William and Nellie (Dowling) Tash.

Joyce graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1949. She married Charles Dudley Harmon on September 9, 1949, in Scott County. He preceded her in death on October 17, 1990.

She worked as a cook at several restaurants and at the Crothersville Shoe Factory. Joyce was a member of the Senior Citizens Community in Crothersville and a member of the former Alliance Bible Church in Crothersville.

Her hobbies included working puzzles, bird watching, quilting, and watching television.

She is survived by two sons, Jeff Harmon of Marysville, IN, and Tom (Tina Harris) Harmon of Salem, IN; two grandchildren, Tyson Harmon of St. Louis, MO, and Jarrod (Megan Shelley) Tatlock of Uniontown, IN; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, two care givers Becky Kirkland, Norita Applegate as well as the wonderful staff at Hoosier Health & Living for taking great care of Joyce and also her special friend Jim Dailey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four children?Tim Harmon, John Harmon, Vickie Tatlock, infant Robert Harmon, two grandchildren, Kelly Jo Ann Strunk; and an infant Tatlock siblings Lynn Tash, Sherrell Tash, June Stidham-Johnson, Goldie Krause, Paul Tash, Phyllis Berger, and James Tash.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory in Crothersville, Indiana, with burial to follow at Crothersville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be given to the Crothersville Cemetery.
