Joy (Minton) Dingee passed away peacefully on Monday, May 29, 2023, at the age of 93. She is survived by daughters Marie (David) Wodaege, Joy (Primoz) Klemencic, Ann Hatch, Barbara (Bill) Higgins and Susan Stevenson; twelve grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, David Dingee, and sister Fran Latoza. Joy's calm demeanor was a stabilizing force on her family, enabling her husband to fully embrace life and her children to tackle the unknown. She loved to travel, shop for antiques, paint, and experience new things, as well as be with her family. She felt her greatest accomplishment was her children and the close ties between them, which extended to the next generation. Her daughters and their families gathered together regularly over 30 years, building strong family bonds nurtured by Joy's loving influence. She will be missed by all who knew her, who are glad to have had her as long as we did. A celebration of Joy's life will be held on Thursday, July 6 at 10:30 am at Freedom Pointe in The Villages for friends and family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and/or The Salvation Army.
