Joy S. (Kendall) Bragdon, age 59, of Greenfield, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born in Jasper, Indiana on June 23, 1960 to Omar F. and Norma (Sibrel) Kendall. She graduated from Lawrence Central in 1978 and married the love of her life, Neil R. Bragdon on March 10, 1979 in Indianapolis.
She worked for Noah's Ark Daycare and CUMNS as a teacher and caregiver. Joy also worked for Marsh and Christine's Floral in Greenfield as a florist and at Wells Nursery for many years. She owned Bundles of Joy, where she would put together flowers for special events. Joy was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW in Jasper and former VFW Poppy Queen. She liked camping, hiking, gardening, going to the beach, and making crafts and keepsakes. She was an avid NASCAR, Colts, and Pacers fan. Most of all she loved spending time with her adoring family.
Joy is survived by her husband, Neil Bragdon of Greenfield; daughters, Leiah (Jesse) Bainter of Greenfield, Jennifer (Scott) Werling of Lake Jackson, Texas, Kyla (Adam) Williamson of Fortville, and Allison (Darrick Teague) Bragdon of Greenfield; mother, Norma Kendall of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren, Haley, Jocelyn, Corbin, Emma, Orion, Davis, Lincoln, Lydia, and Chloe; and siblings, Larry (Penny) Kendall of Kentucky, Shirley (Dan) Snow of Ohio, Mary (Tim) Webb of Indianapolis, and Teresa (Joel) Marci of Indianapolis She was preceded in death by her father, Omar Kendall, Jr. and sister, Nancy Hunter.
A celebration of Joy's life will take place at a later date for her family.
