Joshua James Russell, 36, of Lenoir City, passed away June 28th, 2021 after ten days at home with hospice care. Josh was born in Cookeville, TN. He completed middle and high school in King George, VA where he played baseball, football, and basketball. Josh enjoyed hunting, fishing, and just being outdoors. He spent his summers as a boy hunting and fishing on Center Hill Lake in Middle Tennessee. While living in Virginia after high school, the job he enjoyed most was working as an armed security guard for American Security Group. Josh was also skilled at welding, woodworking, painting, and sketching. Josh's beautiful smile and wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, S. T. Nash and David Russell; his grandmother, Wilma Montgomery; and his stepbrother, David Hamilton. Josh is survived by his parents, Donna and Brian Henry of Lenoir City and J.D. and Tena Russell of Cookeville; Daughter, Kylie Pearce; Sister, Chloe Henry; Twin Brother, Jeremy Russell; and Stepsister, Heather Layne. Josh also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandparents, and friends that loved him deeply and will miss him greatly.
There will be a "Celebration of Life" event in memory of Josh for family and friends on July 10th from 10:00 am CST to 12:00 pm CST at Edgar Evins State Park, Pavilion S3.
