Joshua R. Farris , 35 May 31, 1985 - Jan 2, 2021 Joshua R. "Josh" Farris, 35, of Winchester, VA, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Winchester Medical Center.
Josh was born in 1985 in San Diego, CA, son of Joseph Farris and Taranne Mayes; stepson of Evelyn Farris and Steven Mayes. He was a truck driver for Aero Global Trucking. Josh loved fishing, taking things apart and rebuilding them, and enjoyed motorcycles and 4 Wheelers. He was a member of the Sons of Legionnaire. Josh was a devoted and loving father.
Josh is survived by his parents, step-parents, a daughter, Jocelyn Farris; sons, Joshua and Jackson Farris and their mother, Kim Brown; grandparents, Evelyn and James Farris, Sr.; sisters, Christel Broesch, Amanda Scott (Ronnie), Stephanie Pinson (Wes), and Khadijah Barker (Alvan); brother, Christopher Smith (Jennifer); aunts and uncles, Barbara Shank (Robert), Donna Koons, Mary Jo Reed, and Tim Samsoe (Teresa) and Charlly Samsoe; fianc?, Robin Coffman; numerous nieces and nephews.
Josh was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marianne and Harry Connelly and Kenneth Broesch; aunt and uncles, Robin Samsoe, Robert Samsoe, and James "Ricky" Farris, Jr.
All services are private. Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
