JOSEPHINE LOUISE WAUGH age 84 of Newburg, Maryland
Josephine Louise Waugh of Newburg, Maryland departed this earthly life on June 23, 2022, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Josephine, better known as “Little Joe” was born October 9, 1937, in Wayside, MD, to the late Frank Ford and Mary E. Waugh. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Marie Jupiter.
She was educated in Charles County, Maryland, public school system. Josephine graduated from Bel Alton High School, The Academic Course. She was a member of the Bel Alton Alumni.
Josephine’s first job was at Bel Alton High School for two years, then Little Joe got a job in LaPlata, Md working for a doctor. When the Doctor got a job in New York, she left and went with him and his family. JOSEPHINE had several jobs in New York. Josephine loved Bowling, she joined several Women Bowling leagues and won many trophies and trips. She was a member of the Grand Daughters of I.B.P.O.E of The World Temple #787 (Elks) of New York, and a member of The Family Ties Social Club.
She was an active member of Shiloh Community United Methodist Church until her health declined. She sang with the Sanctuary Unity Choir, The Gospel Travelers and served on the Finance Committee. Josephine was loved by all Tracy and Marlow would often argue about who she liked the best.
Josephine leaves to cherish in her memory, her daughters, Breana Jupiter and Judy Hicks; brothers, Thomas Washington and Alvin Jordan; sister, Thelma Holton (Robert) and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
