Josephine Natalie (Vecchitto) Forster, 84, passed away on Tuesday February 28, 2023 at MidState Medical Center. She was the wife of Ronald H. Forster, her loving husband of 46 years.
Born on December 26, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary T. (Commesso) Vecchitto. A lifelong resident of Meriden, Josephine attended local schools and was a parishioner of St Joseph Church. She worked as a press operator for The Napier Company. Josephine was a member of the PLAV. She enjoyed going to the beach and listening to music. Josephine was a fabulous cook and a talented sewer. She especially loved spending time with her family, whom will miss her dearly.
Mrs. Forster is survived by her children: Jimmy Rispoli, Lisa Rillstone; her sister Diane Tirado; a brother, Vincent Vecchitto; three grandchildren: Annie, Samantha, Eric; several great grandchildren; her best childhood friend, Janet Taylor Mason and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson, Trent; her sister, Phyllis D'Agostino and three brothers: Francis Vecchitto, Tommy Vecchitto and Bruce Tirado.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday March 7th at 10:30 a.m. from the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden, when the funeral cortege will proceed to Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish (St. Joseph Church), 22 Goodwill Ave., for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home.
