Josephine (Balestracci) Seguin, 95, of Bristol, widow of John Paul Seguin, passed away on April 5, 2021 at Bristol Hospital. Born on April 21, 1925 in Worcester, MA, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Dora (Porcelie) Balestracci. Josephine had worked for Sessions Clock Co. in Bristol where she met and married her husband John. Years later she started work at the Islie Screw Machine Co. in Terryville where she worked until her retirement. Josephine was a parishioner of St. Anthony Church here in Bristol. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting. She also enjoyed Bingo nights at various locations in Bristol as well as collecting any sort of dolls. Josephine loved being around her family, especially on Sundays where she would cook a delicious feast for everyone. Josephine is survived by her son Roger Seguin and his fianc? Esther Masotti of Bristol, CT; three daughters and two sons-in-law Jo Ann and Mike Garrity, Susan and Robert Charette, and Betty Paris, all of Bristol, CT; one brother John Balestracci of CA; three sisters Mary Masi of Riverside, CA, Antoinette Mitchell of San Diego, CA, and Dora Key of AZ; her daughter-in-law Kathleen Seguin of Bristol, CT; ten grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Josephine was predeceased by her son John P. Seguin, two brothers Ozzie and Peter Balestracci, and her sister Elvera Balestracci. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, April 10, at 10:30am at St. Anthony Church, School St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday evening from 6-8pm at DuPont Funeral Home, 25 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. For those that will be attending the services, face coverings will be required.
