ZAIA, Joseph D. "Joe" Joseph "Joey" Dominick Zaia, age 60, of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, passed away on May 31, 2022 after a hard battle with Throat Cancer. Joe was the son of Rose (Polagruto) Zaia of Waltham and the late Frank Zaia. He was predeceased by his nephew Christopher Aucoin. Besides his mother, Joe is survived by his son, Michael Zaia and his fiancée Maggie Edgar of Brookline, MA; his daughter, Laura Ing and her husband Jake of Bellingham, MA; his grandson Noah Ing; and his sisters, Francis Zaia and her wife Christine Dehar of Amesbury, MA, and Stella Aucoin and her husband Eddie Aucoin of Marlborough, MA. Visiting Hours for Joe will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2022, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant Street, MARLBOROUGH, MA 01752. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 6, 2022, at 10:00 AM at St. Matthias Church, 409 Hemenway St., Marlborough, MA.
