He was born April 20, 1925 in Cleveland Ohio and was the widower of Helen S. Vidmar who passed away in 2016 and to whom he was lovingly married to for 71 years. Joseph was a World War II veteran who served in the 11th Armored Division of the U.S. Army at the infamous Battle of the Bulge in the Ardennes. For heroic service to this country, he was awarded 3 Bronze Stars, WW II Victory Medal, and the American Theater Ribbon. Joseph was a beloved father of four, grandfather and great grandfather. He and Helen worked together in their very successful real estate career in Cleveland, Ohio. Prior to teaming with Helen in their legendary, award-winning real estate business, he worked alongside her in their grocery store, Helen's Food Market. Joseph and Helen retired to Ashland Oregon in 2001 to be closer to family and resided there with longtime caregiver Bobbi Teran. Joseph adored his family above all else- where he was the centerpiece of all family gatherings and had a wonderful sense of humor and wit. He was a talented musician playing the accordion and harmonica. Joe often serenaded his army buddies while in the service, his friends at gatherings and always played for his family. His passion for capturing the moment was unmatched as he was an avid photographer and home videographer. Travel was always a part of his life, and he preferred sharing his vacations with his family visiting them in Alaska, Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, Florida, Hawaii and Nantucket Island. Joseph is survived by his daughter Donna Jean Morris, Ashland, Oregon and his sons David John Vidmar, San Diego, Dale James Vidmar, Ashland and his fourth child Daniel Joseph Vidmar (deceased). He is also survived by his grandson, Christopher Michael Morris and grand-daughter in-law Robin Alice Morris and great grand-daughters Melanie Noel St. Martin and Theadora Jean Morris. May he rest in peace with love.
