Joseph Scie entered peacefully into eternal rest at his residence on Friday, July 8, 2022, at the age of 64. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a lifelong resident of Avondale, LA. Joseph was a graduate of John H. Martyn High School. He served his country for 10 years as a member of the United State Marines. Joseph retired after many years as an Offshore Chef. He was an active member of Pilgrim Baptist Church. Beloved husband of Debra K. Scie. Loving father of Joseph Scie Roberts, Aminisha S. Daniel, Courtney Burton, Richard Jones, Jr. Kanisha J. Sylvester, Bridget J. Sylvester, and Melea J. Thomas. Devoted son of Annie Scie and the late Samuel Scie. Brother of David Scie, Paul (Florine) Scie, Matthew (Shantell) Scie, Anthony Davis, Samuel Davis, Dianne Wiltz, Alice (Darryl) Thomas, Janet (Annie) Scie, Ida (Mark) Benson, Nora Bankston, Ivorynell S. Robinson, Pythenia S. Butler, and the late Fredrick Scie. Joseph is also survived by 15 grandchildren. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Pilgrim Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Pilgrim Baptist Church, 2114 Rev. Richard Wilson Drive Kenner, LA on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 9:00a.m. Pastor Mitchell Stevens, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment will be at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Dr. Slidell, LA on Monday, July 25, 2022, at 11:00a.m. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St., Gretna, LA.
