BREAKING NEWS: Joseph "Piggy" Pignatano makes his Major League debut in Heaven.
Born in Brooklyn, NY on Aug 4, 1929 to Aniello & Lucia Pignatano, Joe is the oldest of 4 children. A devoted husband to Nancy of 66 years, he is survived by his sister Rose, sons Neil and Frank, grandchildren Alexis & Joseph, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Known mostly for his tremendous career with the Brooklyn Dodgers and the NY Mets, Joe's greatest achievements took place off the field. A selfless and loving man, he spent many years dedicating his life to his family and community. Joe's generosity was endless and he would give you the clothes off his back without even knowing you. No matter the circumstances, when asked how his day was, he would respond "every day is a good day." With an infectious laugh and a smile that could light up even the darkest of places, Joe brought joy to everyone around him.
