Joseph (Joe) Pedrin passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 10, 2021. He would have been 93 on September 23rd.Joe was born in Jersey City, NJ, to Delfina Ronchetti and John Pedrin. He was the middle of three children with an older sister and a younger sister. He graduated from Union Hill High School in 1946 and Newark College of Engineering (now NJIT) in 1950. A former resident of River Edge and Oradell, Joe worked for many years as an engineer specializing in the individual design of HVAC systems for hospitals, factories, and schools. Joe left American Air Filter Company in the late 1980's and formed his own business, Pedrin Associates, where he continued as an air specialist until 2010. Joe loved people and organized his high school reunions from Union Hill High School, class of 1946, until 2016. He also helped organize meetings and social gatherings for the Lanfair Families' Association, a group he and his sisters formed when their mother was in that nursing home. Joe also loved parties, good food, and spending time with friends and family. He was exuberant, opinionated, expressive, and extremely generous in every way to all whom he loved. Joe is pre-deceased by his parents; his first wife, Helen Lanners Pedrin; and his sisters Doris Ciavarella of Wayne and Elsie Palermo of Oradell. He leaves behind his only daughter, Janice Pedrin-Nielson of Plymouth, and her husband Jeff Nielson; his grandchildren, Christopher Nielson and Maresa Nielson and their spouses; two great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews. Joe will be buried at Helen's grave in Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ. He was loved and will be greatly missed.
