Joseph E. Noe

Groton - Joseph E. Noe, 63, of Groton, died unexpectedly at his home late afternoon Thursday, July 14, 2022. Joseph was born Nov. 1, 1958, in Washington, Ill., to Clarence Noe and Nancy Hansen Noe. Joseph graduated from Washington Community High School in Illinois. He then joined the U.S. Navy, and was honorably discharged. Joseph worked as a machinist at Electric Boat for over 40 years. Joseph had a great sense of humor and was a true sportsman. He enjoyed fishing and pheasant hunting. Joseph rooted for UConn Huskies basketball, the Chicago Cubs and the Dallas Cowboys.He is survived by son Kenneth E. Noe; daughter Tara Shrader; father Clarence Noe; grandchildren, Braylon Shrader, Nolan Shrader and Macy Shrader. He is preceded in death by his mother Nancy Noe; brother Robert Noe; sisters, Eva Rupp and Rebecca Noe.A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 21, at the Byles Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames Street, in Groton.
