Joseph Alonzo Moreland was born February 26, 1960 in New Haven, CT and died at home in Tucker, GA on January 2, 2021. Joe leaves behind wife Kim, daughters Kayla and Allison, granddaughters Oakley and Finley, his mother, Geri, sisters Pam (Bill) Beason and Heather (Randy) Spyke, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Joe's career spanned different industries but the common denominator in all was his opportunity to meet and interact with people. He was never afraid to put himself out there whether it was initiating accounts for a business or spending time with his family.
Joe's passions included golfing with friends and family, watching his New York Giants play and spending time with his granddaughters. He was always quick with a joke, gave the best hugs and had a heart that loved deeply. He was proud of not only his kids but also his nieces and nephews and celebrated their accomplishments and triumphs. He was their biggest fan.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. For those wanting to attend, please note social-distancing protocols will be in place and there will not be a gathering before or after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Friends of St. Martin de Porres, 3175 Hathaway Court, Atlanta, GA 30341.
