Burroughs Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Murrells Inlet, SC
Joseph Frank McClendon, Jr., 70, of Myrtle Beach, SC formerly of Huntington, WV passed away May 8th, 2024 at Grand Strand Hospital in Myrtle Beach, SC. He was born November 18, 1953 in Washington D.C. a son of the late Joseph Frank McClendon Sr. and Marlyn Loretta McClendon. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Dennis Jurs.
He was a 1972 graduate of Terra Alta High School in West Virginia, a 1977 graduate of West Virginia University with a B.S. degree from the School of Pharmacy. Frank was a member of the American Pharmacy Association and the West Virginia Pharmacy Association, where he was President from 1984-1985. He was also the CFO of CompreCare in Huntington, WV. He was a member of the Guyan Golf and Country Club.
Frank is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Rosaly Graf from Brazil; sister, Julia McClendon of Chicago; brothers, Erin McClendon and his brother-in-law, James Sulak of Texas, John McClendon of Huntington, WV and Dale Mcclendon and his wife, Yong Sue of Huntington, WV; one son, Joseph Frank McClendon III and his wife, Stephanie of Huntington, WV; and two granddaughters Alyssa Jade McClendon and Savanah Grace McClendon.
We would like to thank all of the staff at Grand Strand Hospital who are truly angels placed here on this earth. We would also like to thank Dr. Mikhail Vinogradov and his team at Tidelands Oncology in Myrtle Beach SC and the Infusion Center staff.
Thank you to all of our friends and family who are so dear to us. A Memorial Mass will be held on June 15th at 10 A.M in our Lady of Fatima followed by burial at Spring Hill Cemetery in Huntington, WV.
