Joseph J. Kulikoski, 76, of North Bay, died unexpectedly Monday, May 17, 2021 in the waters of Oneida Lake while trying to get his boat ramp in place for the upcoming boating season.
Joe was born on October 19, 1944, in Johnson City, the son of Joseph L. and Mildred Harrington Kulikoski. A lifelong resident of Binghamton, he spent summer in North Bay with his father and stepmother and moved to North Bay in 2004. Joe was a graduate of Susquehanna Valley High School, class of 1963.
Joe was a master plumber for over 55 years and was employed with J and K Plumbing and Heating for many of those years. He retired in 2004.
On August 28, 1967 Joe enlisted with the US Army. He served overseas and was honorably discharged on August 17, 1969.
Joe was a member of St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church in Verona Beach, the Sylvan Beach American Legion Post #1153 and the Union Local 112 Plumbers and Pipefitters in Binghamton.
He loved the time he spent at Oneida Lake and the many hours he spent fishing.
Surviving is his companion Barbara Mingle of North Bay, one sister; Joyce (Aubrey) Marbaker of Binghamton, 2 nieces, Linda (Jeff) Miller of Rockwall, TX and LeAnn (Thomas) Oakley of Newark, one nephew; Daniel (Stacy) Marbaker of Port Crane, NY and several cousins. He was pre-deceased by his parents, his stepmother who adopted him, Edith Kulikoski and brother Thomas Kulikoski.
Graveside Services with Military Honors were held 11:00 AM Monday, May 24, 2021, in the North Bay Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to either the Sylvan Beach American Legion Post #1153, P.O. Box 412 Sylvan Beach, NY 13157 or the North Bay Fire Department, P.O. Box 246 North Bay, NY 13123.
